Background images
What can be striking is a picture utilised as a full slide background. You’ll need to find something suitable and it must be a high quality image that will look OK in full screen view. Most digital camera images will be fine and also in roughly the right proportions. If people or objects appear stretched or just wrong then don’t use the image – it will distract your audience from the content and appear amateur. Indeed, the vast majority of ‘home-made’ backgrounds I’ve seen have failed on both counts but until you’ve tried you won’t know, I guess! Maybe the others didn’t get this warning and you’ll think things though better.
So here’s how to get a picture in the background.
Click on Select Picture and navigate to a suitable image.
Click OK and then, on the next pane, decide whether to apply to the current slide only or to the whole set.
Note that features you may have added (like the clock logo above and horizontal bar above) may interfere with the background or have to be moved.
